Wireless Signal Boosters

What is the best wifi signal booster I can buy for my laptop so I can use it in my RV?

I have an RV and I'm staying at a camp ground that offers WiFi, but I can't get a signal in my camper. And unfortunately I can't move my camper to another spot at this time. I have internal wireless built in my laptop, so I was wondering if there is anything I could purchase that would boost the WiFi signal so I could access the internet.

  1. I did some research this morning for you and I am coming up with almost nothing, but this thread on techimo: http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187004 best of luck
  2. I currently have 3 DELL Notebook PCs all with built-in WiFi but there have been times when we went on vacation that I was glad to have bought & brought along & installed the Linksys Wireless N USB Network Adapter WUSB300N as a secondary WiFi connection which is N Grade much superior any G in terms of range/ distance. I personally recommend BELKIN and LINKSYS Wi Fi products and in fact have 2 other supplemental Wi Fi adapters: plus even carry a 5 port LINKSYS SWITCH when we visit hotels bec we normally carry 3 Notebook PCs as my kids are big on on-line games; my wife works and has to troublshoot software code. LINKSYS as well BELKIN make terrific WiFI products and if I were in your shoes I would be patient and take the time and visit websites like PC World, Amazon, CNET, Circuit City and read the reader reviews and recommendations. Secondly I would only buy from a retail store like COSTCO, BEST BUY, CIRCUIT CITY, STAPLES etc and know and confirm from Customer Service their refund policy in advance talking to the Store Manager, Asst Manager or Customer Service Supervisor and making them personally aware of your scenario and challenge, and if the WiFi Adapter you purchased in good faith and after diligent research failed to work and function properly, that you would expect them agreeing in good faith to a hassle free refund <= Prepare Statement to that Effect in writing & print it out taking it along to the store with you whne buying so like the store manager etc (making sure he/she has authority) can sign and date bec oral committments will not stand up in court of law. Hopefully the Above Info Helped & Best of Luck!
