Can I make a wireless router a signal booster?
Is there a way to use a wireless router to get and rebroadcast a signal for better strength?

- Usualy not with a router. You would need a wireless access point that can recieve and send the signal. Check this site out for more info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_access_point
- You can also try a long range antenna on an existing router but really multiple wireless access points to cover any dead areas would be best as they are very cost effective. For an added treat, if you need more than one or two access points, try to find the access points with POE (Power Over Ethernet) that provides with network connectivity and power over ONE Category 5 connection cable (for the access point). Just make sure to secure the access points (APs) with encryption and don't leave them open. I'm not usually overly crazy about security, but the thing with wireless is that it's convenience of use is inherently flawed by providing access to your private network to anyone with a laptop. Otherwise I don't advocate making the overly zealous security guys any richer than they have already become. :)
