I need to find a wireless signal booster?

I need to find a wireless signal booster device which can receive signals from long distances. If there is any model u can refer me to please let me know. I dnt want to try the cheap wifi tricks. thanx in advance

4. Well, there are antenna/radio combination units with very high gain, directional antennas made for out door mounting and fed with power over ethernet. These units CAN get coverage for MILES if the Access point is within the "line of site" of the antenna. Once you bring the connection indoors, you can use your own router to "retransmit". They are used daily by WISPS and others who need longer range than a few feet. They are not cheap they are business class units. We have used them at 10+ miles. In some cases even mounted on towers to get "line of site". The AP also needs to be able to "talk back" meaning it too has to be setup properly for the communication.
