How to extend the range of a video baby monitor?
Does anyone know how to extend the range of a video baby monitor? Our monitor is 900mhz. We live in an old building full of steel and concrete so the signal doesn't go well between rooms and is lost entirely between the baby room and the master bedroom. There are boosters for wifi networks so I would assume there is some technology or the same one that would work for baby monitors.

- With that kind of baby monitor, and considering your surroundings, it's going to be impossible to get a better range than what you already have.
- Try having your babe sleep in your room the first 3-4 months, or in a bassinet in the next room using the monitor. I don't know of any booster for video monitors, but no matter the building material, if you can't see them on a monitor, they are too far away (getting up at 2 am and walking across the house sounds fine until you actually have to do it every night for months on end.
- Take a power booster and uplink the connection to the communication antenna but dont forget to bypass the firewall and that should work.
- you could move the crib/bassinet into your room for a couple months to make things easier. once the baby's old enough to sleep in the room by itself i guess you'll have to get a better monitor. though, i don't know what kinda monitors are out there, so i can't help you with that.
