Wireless Signal Boosters

Does a wifi adapter work if you plug it in to a playstation 3 and will it help the signal?

the connection on my ps3 is bad so i need to know if i should get a signal booster or just plug in an adapter

1. well im guessing u mean like a signal booster for ur router i dont think theres and external adapter for the play station but yea i would get one u can get ones tht go for like a mile
