WIFI BOOSTER when i play my ps3 and xbox 360 online half the time the games say unable to connect to server.?

will a wifi signal booster help. the ps3 shows 50% to 80% signal strength. how do these boosters work? are they easy to set up

1. The issue is a combination of distance from the wireless access point and your games as well as the materials through which the signal must pass. Wireless signals weaken with distance. These can sometimes be remedied by a stronger signal or stronger antenna but this is usually marginal increase. Wireless signals weaken to a much more dramatic degree if they have to pass through dense building materials which include masonry, metals (like ducts, metal plaster lath, silver back mirror, dense plaster, etc.) and the like. Signal boosters don't help here. You will do yourself a lot more good and more likely resolve the issue (assuming that the issue is in fact wireless signal weakness) by running a hard wired line from router to the room where your games are located and installing a wireless access point there. In fact if you hard wire directly and avoid wireless altogether you are better off. If your wireless is not tightly secured hackers are also reducing available bandwidth which further complicates the issue. Be sure to tightly secure your wireless.
