I've worked in many central offices ;AT&T I have found is the worst about cell phone use in there C.O., saying it has caused equipment damage and dropped thousands of customers just from one cell phone call 1 person made one floor below a switch. Then at a Verizon office they have no such rule and when i casually ask a tech about why they allow cell phones they look at me funny and wonder what the hell I'm talking about and have never heard of such a thing. I currently work at a 300,000 square foot datacenter, AT&T, verizon and more service carriers are present there, but we have no rules about cell phone useage, and actually we are in the process of running an antenna feed to our floor to repeaters to expand our cell phone coverage throughout the campus. Just curious if anyone has anything to add. Thanks No one is pulling my leg, AT&T has signs all over the place and I have been kicked out of one of their CO's because i forgot to turn my cell phone off and it rang when i near a tech.
