Wireless Signal Boosters

anyone use a cellular phone booster in their home?

We live in a remote area and lose our signal often. I was considering purchasing a wireless repeater/cell phone booster. If anyone has used one and can recommend an economical brand/model OR if anyone thinks they are "useless," the information is appreciated.
