What signal booster should I buy to improve the reception my new digitital tv is getting?
My new tv is getting very poor reception. After every auto scan, some channels show up and some don't. And when some do appear, they are unwatchable because of the bad quality. I think a signal booster would help, but I'm not sure what to get.

- I would try a better antenna first. An outdoor antenna is best, mounted high and pointed at the transmitter towers. An amplifier (signal booster) is good for overcoming a long down-lead from the antenna to the TV and any splitters in the line, but it will not correct poor reception. (If the signal is noisy coming from the antenna, the booster will just amplify the noise too and you won't improve anything). - After much, much online research,I highly recommend this.... http://www.amazon.com/Bi-Directional-Amplifier-Splitter-Booster-Passive/dp/B000WDR94U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1249490809&sr=1-2&tag=aor-sale-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957 I'm currently deployed and our TV signal is poor. I bought this powered amplified splitter and it works great. We're even picking up channels we didn't have here. It got here to Afghanistan in less than a week after I ordered. These were the only folks I found that had a 8 way powered splitter that would ship to an APO address. The prices are good and FREE Shipping. Hope you like it. Good Luck!
- Try building an antenna first. It's cheap and simple to build. I started out picking up 3 channels with a store bought antenna. The antenna I built out of coat hangers picks up 12 channels. - Get a signal booster not a antenna.....see my source....good luck
