Wireless Signal Boosters

Wireless signal help...?

My friend is on 3rd floor of buildi g and I'm on the first...and I can't get his wireless signal... Should I buy an antenae for my comp of a signal booster for his? If I still can't get the signal...what are some cheap alternatives for gettting my own signal going...

1. Have you ever heard of a parabolic reflector? It might help send that signal from the router down your way if you get it pointed in the right direction. These reflectors are easily made from simple items around the house and don't require spending money. Can't hurt to try. Good luck.
2. A wireless access point could be connected on the second floor. It would boost the wireless network down to the first floor. Also, get an antenna or a stronger NIC adapter for your computer to receive the signal.
