Mobile signal booster does it work? It seems a bit too good to be true. here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160423906019&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT#ht_3724wt_905

Mobile phone signal booster? Hi, I started to work from home, and I have a problem with the signal strength in my flat. I was just wondering if there are any products out there, which would boost the signal? Does anything like this exist?
Do mobile phone signal boosters work? Hello there, I have just moved to the bottom on the valley in surrey, I can not get any signal on my nokia N95 anywhere in the house, not even one bar of signal! I spoke to vodafone they said there is slight signal there but very weak. I have been looking on ebay at mobile phone signal boosters, do they work and if so which is the best to buy? Any good websites to buy from? Thanks ever so much!
signal booster for mobile broadband card.? I just bought a mobile broadband card running on the sprint network. I am trying to use it inside a brick building however i am only getting a signal of one to two bars ( i need at least 3 bars to connect). I saw online that there are a few booster antennas for sale that make the signal stronger by rebroadcasting it. Which antenna would be the strongest? What is the most inexpensive price i can get it for and do any electronics stores (ex bestbuy, radio shack etc...) sell them? PS: Do they really work?
Does a telecom signal booster in the premises leads to quick battery drain of the mobile phone? I have a nokia 6030 phone. I have been using one telecom operator earlier and the signal strength in my mobile phone used to come 4 bars. This was when the phone was not in active call or receive mode. During call it used to be full signal. In this case, my phones battery used to last really long. Now, I shifted to another operator, which has installed a booster in my area. Now what i observe is, continuously the signal strength is full(7 bars) this is even during non active mode. But what has also happened is that my battery very quickly drains out.. I just wanted to know is there a relation to continous high signal strength on mobile, because of booster and battery life. Request your help with your views and experiences
Mobile signal boosters for the home.? I have really bad signal at home and was wondering if there is anywhere i can get a booster. I mean a proper booster, not just one of those sticky boosters you put on the back of the phone. Maybe some kind of arial/antenna that i can put in my window...? Any help with this would be great as i really need to be able to use my phone at home ;)
do mobile phone signal boosters really work? i have been on virgin mobile for 2 months and hardly ever get a signal indoors. I was just wondering if the mobile phone signal boosters that go inside the phone really work or are they just a rip off
Do mobile phone signal boosters really work ?? You have probably seen on ebay the mobile phone signal booster which you stick onto the back of your phone, my question is do they really work ? I live in a really old house and for some reason i can never get by a 1 bar signal until i have to step outside the front door, so need something to help my signal inside. Thanks
3 network signal booster? Hi all. Im looking for a signal booster that can boost my 3 network signal because I cant get any signal in my house but just outside the window signal are very STRONG... I have tried the cheap mobile signal booster but no sign of signal at all. Please help me to choose a signal booster ( I mean the proper signal booster one not the cheap sticker that stick on the back of the phone). Thanks all.
Mobile phone signal boosters? Where i live i don't get 3g but about 5 miles from my house 3g is available. My question is if i get one of those signal booster will i be able to pick up the 3g connection?
Are mobile signal boosters worth it? I live in Shooters Hill, London, and anyone who lives nearby will tell you how awful mobile signal is here. Me and my family all have iPhone 4 on o2, and the most signal we ever get is 1 bar, and most of the time its just 'Searching...' or 'No Signal'. Also, if I do get one bar, and try and make a phone call, within about five minutes the signal is lost again. This has been a problem with every mobile I've ever tried to use, and on many networks. So, I found these signal boosters for around £100. I know there are some silly laws around them, but I want to know if they actually work, and if they are worth the money, because it would be fantastic to finally have consistently good signal!
How can I boost my Verizon mobile broadband signal? I have a Verizon PC5750 PCMIA card, my signal is weak and sometimes goes in and out which is very annoying. Is their a signal booster I can buy to make it stronger? I live out in the country where I'm surprised to have a signal at all, but since I do, I'd like to make it better!
mobile broadband signal boosters? Hi basically the speed of my mobile broadband is slow due to my location. I know that you can buy signal boosters that you can clip on to your laptop online but I would rather buy one from a shop. Can someone tell me what stores sell them im in manchester thanks
Mobile Phone Signal Problems.? Whats the best phone for mobile signals, I work in an office that has poor reception and I use a Motorola V3i and my colleges that have a Nokia N73 and another that has a Sony Ericsson (pda like phone) and they get a enough signal to make and receive calls. All three of us have bought mobile phone signal boosters that stick behind the battery on the phone from eBay. Does anyone recommend any models of phones that would have a powerful antenna. Many thanks. The mobile phone works outside the office, but we do have steel supports for the floor above us.

How to improve mobile broadband signal/reception? Hi, One for you computer whizzes out there! I have a netbook and connect to the www/internet via the use of USB Dongle. The exact model is a Vodafone Mobile Connect HUAWEI model K3565 HSDPA USB Stick. (This particular dongle I bought from Vodafone a few years ago. It's the 1 where I have to/can only top up £15.00 at a time, however, the benefit of this type as oppose to all the new dongles is that it is truly a 'pay as you go' dongle, in that if i do not use it for 3 months then I still have the £15.00 credit, whereas all new dongles that I have researched take off any remaining credit after a month whether you have used it or not, but this should not affect my query)! My problem regarding signal/reception is that when I use my netbook and am connected to www/internet I am sat on my sofa near my lounge window and I have no problems at this point. My problem arises when I use the dongle on my PC (which I have recently set up) which is in the corner of my lounge, some 5 metres away from my lounge window where I sit when using my netbook. When I am using my PC and connected to www/internet using this dongle, the reception is much weaker making connection very frustrating and even trying to view emails and webpages is painfully slow, never mind trying to download even simple documents. I have looked at some websites, for instance, 'www.mobilefun.co.uk' who sell a 'clip antenna for 3G USB modems-universal' which they say 'boosts your mobile broadband signal with this 3G signal booster for broadband dongles with no external ariel connection', and hoping to receive advice from somebody out there if this is the piece of equipment I need in answer to my problem. If my signal/reception when using my PC in the corner of my lounge was the same or comparable when I use netbook near lounge window I would be quite happy, but clearly the signa/reception strength is much weaker and need advice and answers to this problem. All serious answers are gratefully received as are any other ideas that anybody may have to alleviate this frustration...Please! msfy1306@yahoo.co.uk In addition to the above...Is it possible to buy a USB extention lead which would enable me to plug USB dongle into my PC and place the USB dongle stick near my lounge window as in when I use my netbook? If this is an option would I lose any signal/reception strength because I would be using say 3 or 5 metre extention cable? Again, regards.
i just switched to sprint from team mobile and my signal is worse? i thought sprint was 2nd best from 1st best AT&T or verizon? I just got sprints 4G evo 3d and I only get signal when there isn't a roof over my head. this sucks. I'm stuck with this phone for 2 years , great. is there anything I can do to boost my signal? I'm thinking about getting sprints signal booster for my house , does that work? what else can I do, everytime I go to a store, I don't have signal, what can i do about that? Honestly , with this kind've service, I can't believe sprint is still in business. I had an old team mobile phone for about 3 years and I never lost service, I'm shocked.
Anyway to improve mobile phone signal? Hey, I recently bought an iPhone 3GS contract on the mobile network 3, but I get absolutely no signal on it. The only time I can get signal is if I put it down somewhere and leave it for a while. Even then, I only get one bar and it pretty much goes as soon as I pick my phone up or move it. I was wondering if there is anything I can by or do to improve my signal, even if it's only by one bar so I can at least send and receive texts and calls. I have seen these signal boosters that you stick on to the back of your phone which, apparently, improve your signal, but I'm not persuaded by it. It would be appreciated a lot if anyone could recommend me something I can buy or do to get signal, thank you.
poor / no signal on mobile inside the house im moving to, what can i do? im moving to an old house, i can get a mobile signal outside in the open, but if im in the house or next to the house (in the garden) i cant get a signal at all. however if i go upstairs in the house i get a weak signal, just wondering if there is anything i can do? any form of booster or anything like that? this is really annoying as i use my mobile for work etc! any ideas??? i was thinking maybe because its an old house its all lead and thick bricks etc?? there must be something i can do?
small mobile tv amplifier booster? i have win tv on my laptop (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6753399/Trail/searchtext%3EWIN+TV.htm) and it works ok but some channels i cannot get without a tv signal booster. the one i have is big and it's stupid having to carry around this bulky item to watch tv. i was wondering if there is a small one to carry around for a laptop like the same size as the win tv in the picture? thank you wherever i take my laptop? lol i want it to travel
Mobile Borodband booster/repeater? I currently got mobile broadband through t mobile. I can only get a 3G signal outdoors but not in my house. I looked on the net for some advice but since I've got a dongle it looks like I have to buy a repeater which costs £345!!! Laptop WIFI booster or Mobile Internet Package? I am currently staying in rented accommodation for 6 months. The premises (room sharing within house) I stay in has internet access but the router is quite far away from my room (upstairs and also has thick walls) meaning that I either get no signal or get an extremely low signal. Now as I use the internet quite frequently for work and leisure am I better off getting a USB style booster that would enable ny laptop to geta good wireless signal from the router, or should I sign up with a mobile internet provider? Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.
Can you get signal for ure mobile phone through the internet? Hi there I've just had a new Orange Nokia 6303 mobile phone. I live out in the sticks so I've never really had good signal. My previous Nokia phone used to get the odd bar here and there, which I could put up with to a certain extent, but I can't get a single bar anywhere in our house with my new mobile. And I don't really want to change it because its such a nice phone. This might be a really stupid question, but I thought there was no harm in asking! I was wondering whether there's a way of connecting it to the internet through our wireless router network to get signal? I've tried looking it up but I can't find anything (which probably answers my question!) except for the option of putting an external booster outside which i don't really want to do because we're selling our house. The other network providers don't even have signal here, so I don't even have the option of changing providers! Your help would be MUCH appreciated! Ta v much D x

What is a "Booster" that you can buy that makes signal better on gadget you plug in side of computer 4 signal? please xplain how this works and how well also , if you are familiar with seirra wireless gadget..how this works with a booster...can you just usse tin foil and do something with it to make signal better? also, how do these sierra wireless gadgets that you plug on side of computer actually work? are they part of a cell phone or mobile service and what they cost roughly a month too? or is it free? also, do any other mobile or cell phones use free service? please xplain also, to first answerer or beyond..how much does a "Booster" cost? and , again, how they work? what they look like, etc? what brand name , where to find? etc?
Are mobile repeaters affecting the service provider? I have came across a confusion regarding mobile repeaters (signal boosters), regarding their effect on the corresponding mobile service provider. I have came across a case where the service provider even installed a signal jammer, on seeing the usage of a repeater? Is that justifiable?
can i use my pc to manage my mobile phone? hi, i live in an area with very very poor signal and sadly am dependent upon my mobile phone for work. after speaking with friends within my area they all have trouble with signal but however i have discovered that my network (orange) has the worst network coverage in my area. I dont have access to the Internet via my mobile, but do have a blue tooth connection established between my laptop (which is connected to the net) and was wondering if there is any way that i could either A) retrieve my messages and receive calls using my Internet connection OR B)use my laptops IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless adapter in any way to boost my signal. i have tried those magical signal booster things but have had no luck with them. thanks for the help guys, looking forward to your responses
Problems with t-mobile web 'n' walk connection.? Hi, I have a wireless modem dongle from t-mobile. About 4 months ago, i couldn't get connected in my flat. T-Mobile were unable to explain why as the coverage was 'very good' for the area. It worked everywhere else i tried it in Edinburgh, just not my area. After about 2 weeks it started working fine again. I've sinced moved flat and about a week and a half ago a similar thing happened again. I can get connected but it can take up to half an hour of re-trying to do so and once i am the signal ranges to none/weak (often) to very good (rarely). About 75% of the time i am not recieving any data (but i am sending it ok). Again t-mobile are unable to explain why, and once again it seems to be working fine elsewhere (eg. my work). When it first started happening i found that running World of Warcraft kept the signal stronger for longer but this doesn't seem to be the case now. Do you think buying a new usb connector for the dongle would help or a signal booster? And why is this happening?
cancelling my t-mobile account? I`ve put up with T-Mobile for two years now and enough is enough. 80% of the time I cant get over one bar signal strength. Tried a signal booster. Useless. How do I cancel my Flext account. I searched the website for answers.. None. I`ve mailed them. All I get there is sorry to loose you and the runaround but nowhere too actually Say. that would like my contract ended when it runs out in *****. I dont want them to suddenly tell me 6 months later that I owed them 50p. Didnt pay then it was sent to a debt collection agency and its going to cost me over £350 quid like Orange do.Trust me they do.. Any address to write a recorded letter to would be most helpfull..Thanks in advance
CB Antenna Amplification? Does anyone have any information or know where I can find a mobile cb signal/range booster? Thanks for your help. Yes for recieving only. I just want it for traffic info, but as is, I'm only ranging a half mile or so away. A little to short of a range to find a detour.
mobile internet (3 dongle in laptop)? Hi basically i m not sure whether to get a signal booster for my internet. The internet is just a standard dongle. At home the signal is always weak and i was wondering if anyone can tell me whether they actually work. Thanks
"Within range of a Sprint Private Network" inside of my own apartment... Is this legal? Can I fix it? I have had a Virgin Mobile phone for a couple of years without any problems. I just got into a new apartment and can't make/receive any phone calls or text messages. When I try, I just get a message about being "within range of a Sprint Private network, please move outside of the private network before making a call." So I have to go outside and walk a hundred or so yards before I can use my phone. (and receive all the text messages send hours earlier that I haven't read.) A quick google search suggests that the problem might be caused by one of my neighbors having an Airave ( a Sprint signal booster ) that blocks my signal. Virgin Mobile customer service chalks it up to a "coverage problem." (Virgin Mobile works off of Sprint's network.) Living in an apartment building, I don't really know exactly who is responsible for my signal blocking woes. I've read about a lot of people having this problem, and I guess I really have three questions: Has anybody arrived at a solution that doesn't require me ditching Virgin Mobile for two months (how long I'll be in the area), transferring my phone number, and buying another phone/service plan? Is it legal for my signal to blocked? and What's the best way to stay warm while talking on the phone in the cold?
Do mobile phone antenna/signal boosters really work? I have a t mobile g1 and I have no huge problem with signal... There are just one or two places I don't get a 3g signal. I've seen on eBay little chips that stick on under the battery that claim to boost signal... For £1 it seems worth a go but wondered if anyone has one and if they do the trick? Thanks in advance!
Is it possible to have better mobile phone signal without using a gsm amplifier? I have searched on the internet for ways to boost my mobile's phone signal. The most usual solution is "use a gsm booster etc" which is expensive and you have plus radiation in your house. Outside my house the signal is just fine, so the point is not to boost the signal but to find a better way for the signal to "pass in and out my house". Is it possible to achieve this using two antennas? One external and one internal connected with a coaxial cable.
Any experience with Cell Boosters, Signal Amplifiers, or Repeaters? I live in a city, and I have cell coverage everywhere EXCEPT my office.....and I miss business calls all the time. All attempts to have Verizon and/or T-Mobile fix the problem have failed, and it looks like I'm going to have to take things into my own hands. There are "boosters" from 50 cents, and up over a thousand dollars....I'd like one that doesn't keep me tethered to an antenna, and doesn't cost several hundred dollars. Any advice would be appreciated!
AT&T mobile internet card connection is slow? I just got my AT&T mobile broadband card in the mail today. I set everything up, and got connected to the internet. It's really slow! According to my computer I'm only connected at 3.6Mbps. It takes about a min to load a simple internet page, and the card is only connecting at 2G level (no 3G service in my area). I live way out in the woods, and we have to use a cell phone booster to get signal at the house. I'm in the Grand Rapids MN area. Is there anything I can do to speed up this "slower than dial up" connection?
will this cell phone reception booster work for my phone? i live really far away from town... and i have a virgin mobile phone and i get no signal where i live... will the Internal Antenna Booster Sticker work for my phone??? it says it works with LG too... and my phone does have the LG logo on it... if it doesn't work... what is a good cell phone reception booster that is VERY cheap and will work? my phone is the virgin mobile flare so it does not have an antenna... PLEASE help me! this computer and that phone are the only ways i have to talk to my friends and boyfriend

Problem with in-building coverage with T-Mobile? Hi. I have nokia phone 6101 on plan with T-Mobile. In most buildings on my university campus, I lose complete signal when I am outside. Is there any solution for it. I tried switching off/on and even booster sticker and it did not help. When my contract expire, I will probably switch either to Cingular or VW. However with Cingular I can get a student discount on phones and plans, as my university has an agreement with Cingular. What are my options? Outside I have full good signal. The problems starts when I go inside. Please READ CAREFULLY! oh and I get Cingular signal, but of course T-Mobile won't let me roam.
my cell phone has really poor reception in my house.? i have a steel roof on my house and everyone in my family has poor reception inside. is there like a signal booster or something that we can buy to help us out? we all use t-mobile if that helps. thanks! nobody gets reception here...
External Aerial - Universal For All Mobile Phones? External Aerial - Universal For Mobile Phones? Looking for a way of adding an external aerial booster to all phones. Is there a way? Would a sticky plastic tab, embedded with wire to an aerial work? if the tab was stuck under the battery or on the back of the phone? Would this help at all? Any other ideas? It must be something universal for 99% of phones (hence the tab idea?) Thanks everyone :D * 1 day ago * - 1 week left to answer. Additional Details Would those items you have shown there, be able to be produced to be attached to an external wire aerial? I need something which can be attached to any phone which means an external piece of wire (For example) could be attached to to increase signal. For example if those things you gave links to, were attached to a wire, and the tab was stuck on the back of any phone, would that increase its signal. Would the tab be sufficent to 'catch' the transmissons etc... and route it through the external wire for increased signal? Its for an invention i'm working on. :D Thanks everyone 1 day ago it has to be a new or already made way of doing it, and it HAS TO WORK. If anyone scientific could think of a new way or show a current way of accomplishing what I want, please say or contact me... I can pay you for any ideas which actually work (Which get used) Thanks
Advice on boosting the range of my wireless network. ? I have a Dell Dimension 2100 and a Dell True Mobile 2300 router. The computer is in my basement. I want to use my Dell Inspiron and an iMac upstairs via a wireless network. When I chatted online with Dell Sales, they misdirected me to purchase a Hawkings wireless signal booster. If they had read this forum before they answered my question they would of saved me some time. The Hawkings is not compatable with the True Mobile 2300 because the antennae on the router is not removable. So, I contacted them again and now they suggest the D-Link Wireless range booster. http://www.dlinkshop.com/product.asp?sku=3636205 Can anyone tell me if this product will likely work with my system. I don't trust the Dell online sales people and I'm trying not to spend the money to access Dell Technical Support. I'm also wondering if this range booster would work as well. http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1130267578138&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=7813839789B03 thanks, Marc Problem solved by adding a Netgear 54Mbps Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender Kit. I just plugged it in at the router, and the other piece in the upstairs outlet and it's solved.

Where is the wifi antenna in an ACER 5100 Laptop? I read in a web magazine that you can boost the wifi signal on a laptop by putting 2 mobile phone boosters (the thin ones that go behind your battery) on the receiver. I would assume the receiver is the laptop, so where do i put the boosters?....or do i put them on the router antenna? I know many of you may be sceptical that this will have any effect at all, but please humour me as i have a couple of spare boosters and would like to try it as i cant get a signal downstairs ( the router is upstairs) and therefore have nothing to lose by trying. Many thanks for your help
How can I boost cell reception at my rural home? I am getting ready to move to the country -- about 7 to 10 miles outside of the city. My mobile provider is SPRINT. Occassionaly, I can get a very weak signal in my yard, but not in the house. If I drive down the road a couple of miles, the signal picks up strong enough to have confidence in making a call or accessing data. So my question is this: Is there a device I can mount on my roof or inside my house that will "boost" the signal in the air so I can get reception on my property and more importantly, inside my house? I know of the "booster" devices, but they don't seem to be better suited for situations where the signal is strong up to the building, and that's just not the case here. I need something that will grab a weak signal out of the air and then boost it. Thanks for your advice and input.
