Mobile Phone Signal Problems.? Whats the best phone for mobile signals, I work in an office that has poor reception and I use a Motorola V3i and my colleges that have a Nokia N73 and another that has a Sony Ericsson (pda like phone) and they get a enough signal to make and receive calls. All three of us have bought mobile phone signal boosters that stick behind the battery on the phone from eBay. Does anyone recommend any models of phones that would have a powerful antenna. Many thanks. The mobile phone works outside the office, but we do have steel supports for the floor above us.
Mobile Phone Signal Boosters - do they worK? I'm referring to the one's on ebay - the sticker that you "ideally" stick onto the underside of your battery. Are they worth the bother, i.e. do they work?
How can i increase mobile phone signal strength? I wanna increase my tata docomo signal strength. Inside the room there is no signal. Im using nokia 2730 classic set. Is there any other method than signal booster. Help plz...
Does a telecom signal booster in the premises leads to quick battery drain of the mobile phone? I have a nokia 6030 phone. I have been using one telecom operator earlier and the signal strength in my mobile phone used to come 4 bars. This was when the phone was not in active call or receive mode. During call it used to be full signal. In this case, my phones battery used to last really long. Now, I shifted to another operator, which has installed a booster in my area. Now what i observe is, continuously the signal strength is full(7 bars) this is even during non active mode. But what has also happened is that my battery very quickly drains out.. I just wanted to know is there a relation to continous high signal strength on mobile, because of booster and battery life. Request your help with your views and experiences
how can i boost my mobile phone signal? i live in a place with a very weak mobile phone signal. Is there a way to improve it like a DIY booster or something?
Anyway to improve mobile phone signal? Hey, I recently bought an iPhone 3GS contract on the mobile network 3, but I get absolutely no signal on it. The only time I can get signal is if I put it down somewhere and leave it for a while. Even then, I only get one bar and it pretty much goes as soon as I pick my phone up or move it. I was wondering if there is anything I can by or do to improve my signal, even if it's only by one bar so I can at least send and receive texts and calls. I have seen these signal boosters that you stick on to the back of your phone which, apparently, improve your signal, but I'm not persuaded by it. It would be appreciated a lot if anyone could recommend me something I can buy or do to get signal, thank you.
do those stick on mobile signal boosters work? the ones you stick underneath the battery in your mobile phone, if i put one in my phone will it make any improvement on the signal at all? even if its one more signal bar that would be something.

3 network signal booster? Hi all. Im looking for a signal booster that can boost my 3 network signal because I cant get any signal in my house but just outside the window signal are very STRONG... I have tried the cheap mobile signal booster but no sign of signal at all. Please help me to choose a signal booster ( I mean the proper signal booster one not the cheap sticker that stick on the back of the phone). Thanks all.
Can you get signal for ure mobile phone through the internet? Hi there I've just had a new Orange Nokia 6303 mobile phone. I live out in the sticks so I've never really had good signal. My previous Nokia phone used to get the odd bar here and there, which I could put up with to a certain extent, but I can't get a single bar anywhere in our house with my new mobile. And I don't really want to change it because its such a nice phone. This might be a really stupid question, but I thought there was no harm in asking! I was wondering whether there's a way of connecting it to the internet through our wireless router network to get signal? I've tried looking it up but I can't find anything (which probably answers my question!) except for the option of putting an external booster outside which i don't really want to do because we're selling our house. The other network providers don't even have signal here, so I don't even have the option of changing providers! Your help would be MUCH appreciated! Ta v much D x
Mobile signal boosters for the home.? I have really bad signal at home and was wondering if there is anywhere i can get a booster. I mean a proper booster, not just one of those sticky boosters you put on the back of the phone. Maybe some kind of arial/antenna that i can put in my window...? Any help with this would be great as i really need to be able to use my phone at home ;)
Are mobile signal boosters worth it? I live in Shooters Hill, London, and anyone who lives nearby will tell you how awful mobile signal is here. Me and my family all have iPhone 4 on o2, and the most signal we ever get is 1 bar, and most of the time its just 'Searching...' or 'No Signal'. Also, if I do get one bar, and try and make a phone call, within about five minutes the signal is lost again. This has been a problem with every mobile I've ever tried to use, and on many networks. So, I found these signal boosters for around £100. I know there are some silly laws around them, but I want to know if they actually work, and if they are worth the money, because it would be fantastic to finally have consistently good signal!
i just switched to sprint from team mobile and my signal is worse? i thought sprint was 2nd best from 1st best AT&T or verizon? I just got sprints 4G evo 3d and I only get signal when there isn't a roof over my head. this sucks. I'm stuck with this phone for 2 years , great. is there anything I can do to boost my signal? I'm thinking about getting sprints signal booster for my house , does that work? what else can I do, everytime I go to a store, I don't have signal, what can i do about that? Honestly , with this kind've service, I can't believe sprint is still in business. I had an old team mobile phone for about 3 years and I never lost service, I'm shocked.
Are There anything that could boost the signal to DTV antenna without connections ? Something like a mobile phone or wifi booster to increase the signal strengh if not any suggestions
T mobile service is just feet a few away!! Will a signal booster work? If I buy a internal cell phone antenna like one of those stick on things will it make it work, this is at school so if doesn't really matter but on the coverage map says it is literally like 50 ft away from where the building is.
will this cell phone reception booster work for my phone? i live really far away from town... and i have a virgin mobile phone and i get no signal where i live... will the Internal Antenna Booster Sticker work for my phone??? it says it works with LG too... and my phone does have the LG logo on it... if it doesn't work... what is a good cell phone reception booster that is VERY cheap and will work? my phone is the virgin mobile flare so it does not have an antenna... PLEASE help me! this computer and that phone are the only ways i have to talk to my friends and boyfriend
What is the strange looking white tower over the left field wall at Wrigley Field in Chicago? I have asked many people what those 7 white round donut shaped objects stacked on the top of a telephone pole are. The tower is just to the east of the Budweiser house that can be seen over the Wrigley Field left field wall. It appears to be some sort of booster for television or mobile phone signal, but that is just speculation. Any ideas?
can i use my pc to manage my mobile phone? hi, i live in an area with very very poor signal and sadly am dependent upon my mobile phone for work. after speaking with friends within my area they all have trouble with signal but however i have discovered that my network (orange) has the worst network coverage in my area. I dont have access to the Internet via my mobile, but do have a blue tooth connection established between my laptop (which is connected to the net) and was wondering if there is any way that i could either A) retrieve my messages and receive calls using my Internet connection OR B)use my laptops IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless adapter in any way to boost my signal. i have tried those magical signal booster things but have had no luck with them. thanks for the help guys, looking forward to your responses
Where is the antenna in the Sony Ericsson C510? I am thinking about buying a signal booster for my mobile phone but i can't find the antenna.
I need a Cell Signal Booster? i just got a new phone from virgin mobile and my room is in the basement i barely have signal. i have to step outside to call someone. External Aerial - Universal For All Mobile Phones? External Aerial - Universal For Mobile Phones? Looking for a way of adding an external aerial booster to all phones. Is there a way? Would a sticky plastic tab, embedded with wire to an aerial work? if the tab was stuck under the battery or on the back of the phone? Would this help at all? Any other ideas? It must be something universal for 99% of phones (hence the tab idea?) Thanks everyone :D * 1 day ago * - 1 week left to answer. Additional Details Would those items you have shown there, be able to be produced to be attached to an external wire aerial? I need something which can be attached to any phone which means an external piece of wire (For example) could be attached to to increase signal. For example if those things you gave links to, were attached to a wire, and the tab was stuck on the back of any phone, would that increase its signal. Would the tab be sufficent to 'catch' the transmissons etc... and route it through the external wire for increased signal? Its for an invention i'm working on. :D Thanks everyone 1 day ago it has to be a new or already made way of doing it, and it HAS TO WORK. If anyone scientific could think of a new way or show a current way of accomplishing what I want, please say or contact me... I can pay you for any ideas which actually work (Which get used) Thanks
AT&T mobile internet card connection is slow? I just got my AT&T mobile broadband card in the mail today. I set everything up, and got connected to the internet. It's really slow! According to my computer I'm only connected at 3.6Mbps. It takes about a min to load a simple internet page, and the card is only connecting at 2G level (no 3G service in my area). I live way out in the woods, and we have to use a cell phone booster to get signal at the house. I'm in the Grand Rapids MN area. Is there anything I can do to speed up this "slower than dial up" connection?
"Within range of a Sprint Private Network" inside of my own apartment... Is this legal? Can I fix it? I have had a Virgin Mobile phone for a couple of years without any problems. I just got into a new apartment and can't make/receive any phone calls or text messages. When I try, I just get a message about being "within range of a Sprint Private network, please move outside of the private network before making a call." So I have to go outside and walk a hundred or so yards before I can use my phone. (and receive all the text messages send hours earlier that I haven't read.) A quick google search suggests that the problem might be caused by one of my neighbors having an Airave ( a Sprint signal booster ) that blocks my signal. Virgin Mobile customer service chalks it up to a "coverage problem." (Virgin Mobile works off of Sprint's network.) Living in an apartment building, I don't really know exactly who is responsible for my signal blocking woes. I've read about a lot of people having this problem, and I guess I really have three questions: Has anybody arrived at a solution that doesn't require me ditching Virgin Mobile for two months (how long I'll be in the area), transferring my phone number, and buying another phone/service plan? Is it legal for my signal to blocked? and What's the best way to stay warm while talking on the phone in the cold?
Would multiple 3G phones setup as multiwan increase data speeds? We live in an area where we cannot get DSL or Cable. The only options we have for internet are satellite, sprint or verizon 3G at 200-600kbps, AT&T at 1.5-3Mbps (but with a 4-5GB cap), a $500 T1 line, dial up, or a "fixed wireless" signal, supposably at 1.5Mbps. I'm skeptical about the fixed wireless, and not sure if I want to spend the money to get started. My other option is this... Our neighbor who lives a mile down the road can get DSL, yet we cannot. The telephone company does not seem to want to work with me in getting coverage here so I could get one or two dsl connections at our neighbor's place, and install an antenna on their roof, and one on ours. Problem is it'll take $300-$400 to get started, and I don't know how I can talk our neighbors into letting us do it. For now I really need a internet connection. I use my sprint phone, which can share its connection to my laptop but its slow. I average about 300kbps or so but with latency between 200 and at times as much as 3000. I think the problem is that I get such a weak signal the phone is constantly searching for a signal. Often I can see it coming in and out of coverage. I thought about installing a cell phone booster, but most if not all are made to take the outdoor signal and bring it indoors. The signal is about the same outdoors as it is indoors, so this will not help. That said, I've been thinking about getting 4 virgin mobile phones and going with the $25 unlimited plan. It runs on the sprint network, and it'll get about the same speeds as I get with my HTC EVO 4G. Although I've worked with a lot of routers before, and I've made my own router before, I've never done multi wan. I'm curious, four 200kbps connections doesn't make one 800kbps connection, does it?? If anything, I know having two will help because most of the delay is spent in the cell phone searching for a signal. Maybe having two to choose from will help. However, they come from the same tower. Its either that or I go with AT&T. Unless I just get a data plan, I'd have to unlock my htc evo and change that over to AT&T, and pay sprint $200 for canceling. Either way, sprint is unlimited and AT&T is not.
What is the best service provider and cell phone with NO data plan? Hey everyone, I'm due to renew my cell phone contract and I'm having some trouble deciding what to do. Here is my situation: I currently have Sprint as my service provider and my phone is a LG Lotus. I don't get that great of signal where I'm living right now and am considering ditching Sprint all together. Although, they do have the AirRave which would likely help with the low signal at my house (everywhere else, city, etc. I get great signal). I would have to pay $18 to activate it and lock in to another 2 yr. contract if I opted for that, which is fine since I would be getting a new phone anyway and renewing my contract anyway. The other thing is that I was checking out Sprint phones that don't require a data plan and they all had pretty bad reviews. I'm not opposed to spending $150 or even $200 on a good phone that is dependable and going to last. I paid $150 for the Lotus 2 yrs. ago and it has been great other than the battery life isn't what it used to be. It seems to me that all of the good, quality phones in current times all require a data plan and you have to put up with a piece of junk otherwise. I'm assuming its the service providers' way to boost revenues, but at this time my budget isn't allowing me to help them there haha. The main service providers where I live are Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. As far as me switching from Sprint, my friend has Verizon and when he's been over here he doesn't get any signal either (they don't offer any type of signal booster like Sprint - that I know of), but my friend with AT&T gets great signal, also I've heard some bad things about AT&T's signal. Apparently I must live in some kind of dead-zone. So, what would you recommend I do? Anyone had positive experiences with T-Mobile or are there any decent "basic" phones that AT&T is currently offering? Have I only read the bad reviews about the Sprint phones (I was looking at the LG Rumor Touch and Lotus Elite - I saw a lot of complaints about them getting worse signal than the phone I have now)? Should I just keep my old phone and get a new battery along with the AirRave and sign another 2 yr. contract? If you read all of that, thank you and I appreciate your feedback.
Where is the wifi antenna in an ACER 5100 Laptop? I read in a web magazine that you can boost the wifi signal on a laptop by putting 2 mobile phone boosters (the thin ones that go behind your battery) on the receiver. I would assume the receiver is the laptop, so where do i put the boosters?....or do i put them on the router antenna? I know many of you may be sceptical that this will have any effect at all, but please humour me as i have a couple of spare boosters and would like to try it as i cant get a signal downstairs ( the router is upstairs) and therefore have nothing to lose by trying. Many thanks for your help

How to cancel t-mobile plan? My family and I are moving about 200 miles away and our new home is located in an area that has no cell service. Customer service told me that there is no cell service within 7 miles and that the only thing they can do is offer me a signal booster so I will be hopefully able to use my cellphone while at home. With this I will not be able to use the internet etc. only voice. I am also having difficulty with my phone... again. The main speaker is broken again so I can only hear on speaker phone so they are replacing the handset again but it just seems like with no service and about to be working on my 3rd phone in under a year there has to be a way to get out of this plan without paying a termination fee. I almost forgot I have also asked 2 customer service reps and a supervisor for a copy of my contract and they have all stated they no longer have it and can not provide a copy. Could this be a way out and if so how or what needs to be said. I also was on the phone for hours with the 3 of them trying to get them to cancel for the lack of service in the area but they said they stopped that a year ago. I signed my contract on November 27, 2010 so I have the 2010 contract version. Is it this one or is it the 2008 that states its a reason to cancel with no EFT?
Electronics Engineer? How can I catch signals on my Dish Antenna? A mobile phone company in Saudi Arabia has installed their Network Antennas/Boosters on different buildings in Riyadh city. This has disturbed signals of some T.V. channels. When I try to adjust my Dish Antenna, signals start appearing and disappearing. I can not get signals more than 2% to3% and these do not stay constant. Is there any solution to this problem?
Problem with in-building coverage with T-Mobile? Hi. I have nokia phone 6101 on plan with T-Mobile. In most buildings on my university campus, I lose complete signal when I am outside. Is there any solution for it. I tried switching off/on and even booster sticker and it did not help. When my contract expire, I will probably switch either to Cingular or VW. However with Cingular I can get a student discount on phones and plans, as my university has an agreement with Cingular. What are my options? Outside I have full good signal. The problems starts when I go inside. Please READ CAREFULLY! oh and I get Cingular signal, but of course T-Mobile won't let me roam.
T-mobile internet wont work on blackberry? I have a blackberry curve 8520, last month I had a 30 day internet and email booster then on the last day of last month i paid for it again so i could have it this month. When I get the text from 150 telling me about my allowances it says i have unlimited internet, but whenever I go on the internet it says 'requesting...' along the bottom then just comes up with 'Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later' Theres nothing wrong with the wifi, its on and the phone is connected to it with a strong signal, Its defo nothing to do with that because it also isn't connecting at school, my friends house or anywhere else. Also my email isn't working, its connected to my hotmail account and although I'm still getting emails on my computer, the phone is no longer receiving them. I've never had this problem before, what do I do?

Do mobile phone antenna/signal boosters really work? I have a t mobile g1 and I have no huge problem with signal... There are just one or two places I don't get a 3g signal. I've seen on eBay little chips that stick on under the battery that claim to boost signal... For £1 it seems worth a go but wondered if anyone has one and if they do the trick? Thanks in advance!
Is it possible to have better mobile phone signal without using a gsm amplifier? I have searched on the internet for ways to boost my mobile's phone signal. The most usual solution is "use a gsm booster etc" which is expensive and you have plus radiation in your house. Outside my house the signal is just fine, so the point is not to boost the signal but to find a better way for the signal to "pass in and out my house". Is it possible to achieve this using two antennas? One external and one internal connected with a coaxial cable.
How to increase my cell phone signal in the house? i heard of this thing called a cell booster , but where do i buy them from and how much does it cost. i have t mobile and i can never get a cell signal in my house.

Help with Cell Phone plan and possible cancellation? Hi everyone! At the beginning of the month I bought a Samsung Moment for the Sprint Network. It is a decent phone but has some issues. The battery life is terrible and I pretty much get NO signal in my home. I am not interested in any type of signal booster for my house, I want a phone that I do not need to worry about things like this. I am considering canceling my contract before my 30 days is up. What other carriers do you recommend? Right now I have the Everything Data 450 plan for Sprint with free calling to any mobile, anytime. I pay after taxes close to $80.00 a month. Is there any other service that is similar to these charges and more reliable in terms of coverage? Do they offer any neat phones like the moment? If not, do you think I should consider getting the Palm Pre instead? Thanks!
