What an ordinary cell phone amplifier consists of? I can’t find a definite answer about what an ordinary cell phone amplifier consists of. Is there anybody who can give me a clear explanation?

How come when my cell phone's near my bass guitar the amplifier makes a loud ringing sound? I had my cell phone in my pocket when I was playing bass guitar. I noticed when I moved the back of my guitar over my phone, my amplifier made a loud, high pitched ringing sound. Why does it do that? I'm completely stumped. If you don't believe me try it, but do it at your own risk since I don't know if it hurts your amplifier. Serious answers only please.

Is there a frequency amplifier for my cordless UNIDEN phone? I am hearing impared and I dread having to answer the phone. More often than not I have to pass the phone to my wife to take the call. The only amplifiers I am familiar with attach between the base of the telephone and the handset. This is impossible on a cordless phone. I have a UNIDEN (EXI 4246) cordless phone. Cell phone signal amplifier? I had a friend post this question for me several months ago, and did not get a satisfactory response. I have no signal at my house in the mountain side of Neqros Oriental, I can climb higher and get a signal. I want to buy a signal amplifier. The system I am looking for has an antenna that plugs into the amplifier, the amplifier runs off electricity. Then the amplifier re-broadcast the signal over a small area allowing the phone to grab the signal. These systems are available in the U.S. for extreme rural areas, but the cell frequency is different here. So I am looking for one in the RP that will work here. Does anyone know where to buy something like this in Cebu? or Manila? I have been to almost every electronic store in the Mall of Asia and all over Cebu, and the clerks just look at me like they have never heard of what I am talking about. Cell-Phone Amplifier or booster? Hi, I (like many others) have terrible cell phone reception. Which is why I still keep a land-line at my house running. Recently I've been online researching different cell phone carriers, trying to see if one would have better reception then the other(typing in address, which brings up a map of reception levels). Seeing as all carriers provide roughly the same "1-bar" reception, (according to map/experimenting with Verizon and sprint) Plan-B is all i could think up of which consists of some type of Antenna which would boost/amplify my cell phone reception. Apparently from what I have read- the "boosters" only work if you have good reception say in one area of your house providing other "dead-spots" with clear calling. But I digress,(thought i should give you background knowledge on my situation) my question is if anyone knows of a Cell Phone External Antenna that possibly "creates" better reception (or uses clear reception from maby half a town over lol) so I can finally get rid all together of my land-line/rationalize the fact that paying high cell phone bills is worth all the use of the phone Thank-You! =]

What I have is a cell phone antenna amplifier, works great but it does not have an antenna adapter cord for my type of cell phone (It is a Sprint SCP-3100). Now all it is basically is a cord that converts the removable antenna port into a standard antenna port that I plug into this device. At our home our reception is very weak, yet we can walk down the road about 500 feet and get acceptable reception. Okay 10 points for the person who answers this question. I get low signal because of the new steel roof.? I had a roof installed on the house, its made of steel, before the signal strength was 3-4 bars inside, now its 0-2 bars i get. I contacted Wilson electronics about getting a cell phone amplifier and they said it was 700.00 for the wireless model. When I step outside I get 5 bars of signal around my whole entire house. Are there cheaper options then that, that will work for what I need. since I have cingular I need one that runs on their frequency. I want to atleast gain more bars then 1. It's not just cingular either, my friend has verizon and it has the exact same problem, is it the steal roofing or is cingular lying?

Have you had an Internet phone company NIGHTMARE ? I just got packet 8 in July and was quiet happy by the domestic and international calls until first week of August we had severe storms and due to lightning my cable modem and the packet 8 Amplifier connected to it got fried. I called the cable and within 2 days they had a guy come to my home to replace a new modem without even charging me. Well the packet8 story is different, first I called...callled..and called and you can never get through someone to pick up in the phone..just a run around.. so I tried login to my packet pathetic account and made a case..well sttill no response..I guess the company kind of expecting a way for customers to went their frustration..... There are no responses still to my emails.......... last wednesday I finaly got a hold of a guy in technical service , boy that was a nightmare...he asked me 1000 questions as if I was being intorigated as a suspect for a crime or something. Does the sprint store have some kind of "signal repeater / amplifier" behind the counter? My friend gets a sprint phone with sirius radio. It works like crap. it constantly stops to "upload" and it has many signal interuptions. when we get to the sprint store (Parkdale Mall Beaumont, Texas)it works flawlessly. when we get to the parking lot it hardly works at all. Two NPN transistors pull-push amplifier explanation please, also does transformer cause phase shift too? I was trying to build AM receiver. First thing, I got sound out without a detector circuit. I think I may know answer for that: that is my common base amplifier (the one I used at the input just after the tank circuit) was also acting like a detector. After two more amplifier stages, I still could not get enough to run speaker. It was running small ear phone though. I am trying to make pull-push amplifier by using two NPN power transistors coupled with transformer. I do not have PNP power transistor. I got the circuit for two NPN transformer coupled amplifier from an old book, but my problem is I do not get how this circuit works.

My telephone line is very quiet... How do I amplify both incoming & outgoing signals? I've got a BT line but people find it hard to hear me speaking on the phone & I find it hard hearing (i've got perfectly good hearing by the way). We are within a distance of each other, equivalent to being inside the same cell, but we are far outside a cell network. My 2002 BMW 530i's Stereo Is Quiet and Won't Get Loud after taking it out of storage? The speakers work but are very very sharp sounding and quiet, i can adjust base treble balance fade ect, but its not noticeable they won't turn up. Can anyone recommend some loudspeakers that sound good and detailed at low volume? I can't play music loud due to being in a flat, but like to hear detail. My system sounds great through Sennheiser HD600 phones, but awful through my Tannoy M2.5's. I use a Musical Fidelity X-A100R amplifier and Musical Fidelity X-Ray CD player,plus the X-Tone module. I was wondering if there's a way to connect ipod or any mp3 player directly to car amp.? is it possible to hook up an mp3 player(ipod) from head phone plug directly to a car amplifier without going through the car stereo.Do I need a boost the output on the mp3 player?
