How to use blade bumper as iphone 4S signal booster? So I just ordered by 4S, and I was looking around for some cases, I usually get the otter box, however, I am starting to want to be able to not have to coat my phone in an expensive plastic case, that keeps tearing. So i did some shopping and bought this from amazon for $17 http://www.gadgetmac.com/gadgetmac/2010/12/16/tiger-design-blade-aluminum-iphone-4-bumper-case.html however the reviews say that it severely hurts the signal of the phone. Now I'm getting the invisible shield that protects the side of the phone as well and the case comes with little rubber bumpers to keep the aluminum case from the antenna. However, I am still worried about the bumper hurting the signal. So I was wondering if there was a way to make it so the bumper acts as a booster rather than hurting the signal. Thanks in advance!
iphone 4s signal booster/repeater? I recently moved into a new apartment in NYC and Im living in the basement of a 1st floor/basement duplex. The problem is that in the basement i get very poor reception with my at&t iphone 4s. Looking around the internet I see a few different "repeaters" that are supposed to boost signal. Has any one had any luck with these or know if they work with at&t and the iphone 4s? Thanks a lot, here's one I was looking at... http://www.repeaterstore.com/products/repeaterkits/wi-ex/zboost-yx-540.php
IPhone as wifi booster? I get GREAT reception on my iPhone throughout my house but my laptop dies if I'm not within 10 ft of my router (MacBook but I suspect faulty hardware is a big possibility). Can I use my iPhone to "grab" the wifi signals and amplify them so my laptop can get great signal strength too? I DO NOT WANT TO TETHER. That would run my cell bill up to the f*cking sky! Thanks!
Is my wireless router working as a booster arial? I have an IPhone 3GS on orange (uk) and live in a newly built town house so reception is quite poor, but when I connect to my wireless router I suddenly get signal in place I normally don't. Then I tried the same thing with my neighbours wireless router (with permission) but i didnt get a reception boost. Is my wireless router working as a boaster Arial? And if so how does this work?
Are mobile signal boosters worth it? I live in Shooters Hill, London, and anyone who lives nearby will tell you how awful mobile signal is here. Me and my family all have iPhone 4 on o2, and the most signal we ever get is 1 bar, and most of the time its just 'Searching...' or 'No Signal'. Also, if I do get one bar, and try and make a phone call, within about five minutes the signal is lost again. This has been a problem with every mobile I've ever tried to use, and on many networks. So, I found these signal boosters for around £100. I know there are some silly laws around them, but I want to know if they actually work, and if they are worth the money, because it would be fantastic to finally have consistently good signal!
Anyway to improve mobile phone signal? Hey, I recently bought an iPhone 3GS contract on the mobile network 3, but I get absolutely no signal on it. The only time I can get signal is if I put it down somewhere and leave it for a while. Even then, I only get one bar and it pretty much goes as soon as I pick my phone up or move it. I was wondering if there is anything I can by or do to improve my signal, even if it's only by one bar so I can at least send and receive texts and calls. I have seen these signal boosters that you stick on to the back of your phone which, apparently, improve your signal, but I'm not persuaded by it. It would be appreciated a lot if anyone could recommend me something I can buy or do to get signal, thank you.

dropping calls on iphone 4? this issue is driving me crazy! i've been restraining myself from throwing my phone into the wall. i work in a kinda secluded area but since the last update, i always have about 3 bars but every once in a while i'll lose it down to 1 bar. i don't really care about that but i'm in tucson and lately the data network and calls have gone to hell! the data network for my air-card and my phone are the slower than the slowest phone out there and the past week (only at work) i will be on the phone and the call will fail and it's for no reason. i will still have signal and i use a bluetooth so it's not like i was touching it. last weekend in a matter of 10 mins, i lost the call with that same person 8 times. i have the bumper like they recommended but it really only helps to a point but i don't know what else to do. is it just me or did the last update (the only to fix the signal) actually just take signal away? i think they were trying to clear up more room on the att network by limiting how much information we can download at one time cause that was cheaper than upgrading the network. does anyone have any thoughts or experience the same thing? i do work in a concrete cave (literally) but the whole face of the building is glass and that's where i place my phone and where i get my signal. i'm looking into getting a booster here at work but i really don't know what else to do! any help?!?! While they say that the coverage calculation was off and they simply adjusted it...they are a concerned about money and I don't think they really made the phones calculate "more correctly" as my phone worked better when I had more bars where I work. The speed literally changed because of the amount of bars. I know iPhones have a terrible drop call rating as I've dealt with it on both of my iPhones but it's been worse lately than it's been since I got the iPhone 4. I do have a bumper that I bought as well as the free one they offered and it helps slightly when holding my phone but since I use a Bluetooth while on a call I shouldn't have an issue with signal. I'm not losing any signal while on the call anyways. I did call CS and they didn't tell me anything about towers being upgraded. They couldn't find any reason why I was having the issue I am with both my phone and my modem.
How do i undo my t-moblie iphone contract? This is why I detest t-moble and wish it would die in the fire of a fire of a million suns. -T moblie is crap, my signal cuts out all the time, even in central london ouside a t moblie shop!!! -Their app is terrible, no matter how many texts i use it always says i have 500 left. -They keep charging me for things i havent done, my bill is meant to be £40 but is more like £60 a month. -3g/cellular internet coverage is awful, unyet some how they say Ive downloaded 4gb of data and uploaded 4.5gb!!!!!! -You cant use your phone abroad unless you pay for ''boosters'' for your internet calls and texts, which I didnt know about so I went on holiday, found i couldnt even phone up t-moble to buy the ''boosters'' while i was there. -Their customer service is crap, I sent an email every day about the above for a week about 5 weeks ago and still no reply, I phone them up and the line is always conviently engaged.
