Should I get a Motorola signal booster for my cable modem? My signal levels for my cable modem seem to be low. Signal To Noise Ratio: 31.1 dB Downstream Power Level: -9.3 dBmV Upstream Power: 39.0 dBmV I've been told that my SNR should be around 35 dB and that my Upstream Power should be in the mid 40s. Would a Motorola signal booster improve my SNR?

How to improve coax signal? Will booster work? Hello, I’m looking to boost the signal from my Direct TV multiswitch to one of the receivers. If have two other coax lines from the multiswitch to two receivers that work perfectly. I’m just having issues with a third coax line that doesn’t carry a good enough signal (I get sound but the image is stuck). I tired an inline amplifier and it didn’t work. Will a powered amplifier work better? I saw this thing on Amazon but does it only work for cable TV and not Direct TV / Satellite TV? http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Booster-484095-001-00-Bi-Directional-Amplifier/dp/B000066E6Y Thanks, Seb Star I do recognize that the problem is with my the coax cable between the multiswitch and the receiver in question. Any suggestion what might help if not an amplifier? The cable runs through the walls so replacing it is not really an (affordable) option.
Any advice on improving signal strength on my Motorola V551 cell phone? The most signal strength I can get on my cell is 2 bars only and sometimes none at all. What should I do to improve this? I even added a signal booster that sticks inside the cell phone close to the antenna underneath the battery. By the way, my service provider is Rogers here in Canada.
Can I connect two amplifiers to boost my internet speed? I currently have one Motorola Signal Booster. I was wondering, can I connect two Motorola Signal Boosters to further boost my internet speed? Or would that blow my devices? BTW, my ISP is RoadRunner.

Where do you place an antennae booster sticker on a Motorola Slvr L6? I just bought one of these to help my cell get more signal and the instructions say to place it on the phone where the battery goes, but I have very little room because of my sim card, so I'm not sure where I should put it?
Is there any way to increase my cell phones signal? I have a motorola razr and would like to get better reception without spending alot of money on one of those expensive signal boosters some RV drivers use. What can I do?
How to tell what your cable signal strengths is. Or why I can only to HD station? I Live in Rouzer dorm at McDaniel college which was built in the 60s. We all get cable here and I have a Sony HDTV 40V4100. Right now I can get TNT and Comcast Sports net in HD on channel 106.1 and 106.2. However I cannot get any of the broadcast stations in HD, for example NBC HD or PBS HD, which I know you can get with an antenna. Thinking it was a week signal do to the dorms age I bought a signal booster from Motorola. unfortunately, it did not help I still can only get TNT and Comcast sports net in HD. I was wondering whether the booster was bad. I can find out the SNR (dB) and the IF-AGC (%) form the the signal diagnostics menu but do not know what I am looking for to tell me the strength of the signal or why cant I get any other HD channels.
I am paying for Comcast cable and recently purchased a PC and Comcast recommended Motorola modem.? The problem is if I split the cable into my room I don't have enough power to watch TV and obtain a connection with the modem. It's one or the other. The line into the house is split three ways, then split again in my room. Three TVs and one modem in the house. The line to my room is over 30 years old. Will a booster help or do I need another line put in? If I need a signal booster what should I purchase exactly? Thanks!
A Good CATV Amplifier? I'd like to buy a CATV amplifier that is compatible with cable modems, but I can't find any real recommendations online. I was thinking of purchasing the Motorola Signal Booster on Amazon, but was wondering if anyone else had any other suggestions.
Methods of DVR setup? I have an HDTV and an HD cable box that I use for TV viewing. I added a ReplayTV DVR into the mix by using a dual splitter, but it really degraded the cable signal, lead to poor PQ on regular channels and a lot of "This channel will be available shortly" messages on HD channels (please, no answers that tell me to use a DVR from my cable company). I want to eliminate feeding the DVR a signal from the incoming, split coax line. Is there any way to do this? One idea I had is below (my other idea, using an output from my HD cable box to feed the DVR, is apparently a no-go. Heaven forbid that a device could actually be multifunctional). My HDTV has a built-in QAM tuner. Since I am using an HD cable box to get a signal, is there a way to take the QAM signal from the TV and feed it into the ReplayTV? I doubt it's possible, but it would be nice. Can it be done? Or if not, what is the best way to do this? I know I should rewire the whole house, because I already have a Motorola signal booster where my cable comes in, and a bunch of other splits elsewhere. Thanks for any pertinent input! Robert W, I am not sure if you can edit or add detail, but I tried using the RF Out from the cable box to go into the DVR, but got no signal. And the cable box uses HDMI to connect to my receiver, which passes HDMI to the TV. (DVR has no HDMI input anyhow, component is the best it has)...
What types of Ethernet and CATV cables should I purchase for faster internet speeds? Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for high-quality Ethernet and CATV cables that will help drastically improve my internet connection. I'm considering a CATV amplifier (Motorola Signal Booster BDA-S1 1-Port Cable Modem TV HDTV Amplifier) to help boost the signal of my AT&T U-Verse Modem as well as a Monster Ethernet Cable (CAT 6 speed up to10 Gbps) to help increase data transmissions between my laptop and modem. What are your opinions about these products? Are these the products I'm looking for? Any product recommendations or am I being too excessive?
LOST: AC Adaptor 120VAC, 60Hz, 12VDC, 200mA Coaxial connector? Lost AC Adaptor for Motorola Signal Booster. It does not use the standard small barrel connector for power but instead uses the RG6 / RG59(whatever) coaxial connector. Where can I find this? If not, is it possible to splice the power wire and solder it to a Coaxial connector? You can look at the picture here to see the connector type: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B000066E6Y/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_0?ie=UTF8&index=0

I have a new digital television and a new outdoor antennae, but still cant get digital broadcasts.? My T.V. is a new digital television and my antennae is a large directional antennae . It worked o.k. for analogue before. I bought a motorola signal amplifier and it would not work for the t.v.: . The tech. guy says that it's a different frequency. My question is , is there a digital signal booster that can go from the antennae to the t.v. and not to a converter box or dvd player. I would appreciate any help guys. thanks p.s. i live about 35 miles from chicago if this helps. it is not a problem with hook ups or channel scans, it's a weak signal problem for sure.
Mobile Phone Signal Problems.? Whats the best phone for mobile signals, I work in an office that has poor reception and I use a Motorola V3i and my colleges that have a Nokia N73 and another that has a Sony Ericsson (pda like phone) and they get a enough signal to make and receive calls. All three of us have bought mobile phone signal boosters that stick behind the battery on the phone from eBay. Does anyone recommend any models of phones that would have a powerful antenna. Many thanks. The mobile phone works outside the office, but we do have steel supports for the floor above us.
AM/FM Radio Antenna Booster? just bought this one: http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product?storeId=10101&Pr=p_Product.CATENTRY_ID%3A2001196&productId=2001196&catalogId=10101 Instructions: Simply plug booster into radio and antenna into booster. Any idea of the frequency range on Motorola droid x? We have poor signal in and outside our home. I'm planning to purchase a Wilson cell signal booster and connect said booster to an existing Wilson antenna mounted atop the house. this will work as have used a motorola E-815 flip phone as a modem for home pc in the past. I'm rather frustrated with the verizon website and chasing my tail so if any of you geeks out there know what the frequency is or can direct me to where can find it that will be great. Thanks.
